INSTALLATION
In the installation branch we distinguish, for instance, electrical contracting,
water, plumbing and sanitary contracting, and insulation contracting.
The anticipated slowdown in the production in the residential and non-residential sector also affects the installation sector. A shift towards maintenance work is therefore anticipated, with contractors expected to be able to offer more specialist expertise, and an increase in the number of maintenance projects.
ICT, too, is playing a growing role in the installation industry. Clients expect contractors to be able to offer and manage total solutions (such as IP-telephone networks and Domotica solutions).
The installation branch is characterised by healthy margins and installation firms are taking an increasingly prominent role in the construction chain. This has not gone unnoticed and interest in (medium-sized and/or specialised) installation firms is intense.
